Hand embroidery, acrylic paint, applique and bead work. This work of art took me about 10 years to complete.  Inspired by the birth of my first grand child, it is an expression of love.  

The sky chain stitch hand embroidery.  The woman and baby are acrylic paint. The bed is applique and embroidery. There is a bead-work border surrounding the image.  This piece took me almost a decade to complete. The intricate chain stitch design is completely from my own imagination, and it would take me approximately 9 hours to complete a square inch.
